"Smile baby," he kisses him again; "we're gettin' married today."

He leaves him with that warm thought, slinging his towel over his shoulder as he heads across the deck.

Just past the lifeguard station, another passenger looks him over and catches up to him, muttering; "Don't tell me you're getting married..."

Face has heard that tone before, the low rumble of arousal - a pickup waiting to happen. But... he's not that guy now. He can't be that guy. Not anymore.

"Afraid so," he replies, subconsciously twisting his silver band. "Though I appreciate the compliment."

"That's not all you could be appreciating." The guy's bold, slight of build with dark hair and dark eyes - wearing a suit even smaller than his own, which is a feat in it's own right.

"I... uh..." he stammers, lowering his eyes. It'd be easy. Really, really easy. And as much as Murdock trusts him, he'd never suspect a thing. "I can't."

"Can't or won't?" The guy leans in, one hand tracing down the hard plank of Face's abs. "Because I'm pretty sure you can."

The ring slides down his finger the slightest bit, dragging him back to reality. "Won't." He replies with a clipped, confident tone - walking away without letting him push any closer.
