It could have been worse, if what he read was any indication it could have been a lot worse.
"You're good for you." He smiles slightly when Murdock looks at him, kissing his forehead. "I'm just... here."
He's not sure if he's good or not, he does what needs to be done - and he hopes that's good enough for the both of them.
