Playing House: Moving In

It's not the best digs they've had, it's a small one-bedroom apartment in the middle of Montreal, but compared to where they've been staying it may as well be the Vegas Hilton. But, it's theirs.

For a whole month, it belongs to them to come and go as they please and make a life for themselves. A life that Face hopes might just be enough to convince Hannibal that running maybe isn't the best idea.

After a day of shopping every thrift shop and half the department stores in town, they managed to pull together some basic living necessities that Face was taking great care to bring up from the curb while Murdock put it all away.

"Last box, baby..." he says with a wide smirk, locking the door behind them. "This is real."

He presses his body tight against him as he continues, leaning in close to whisper in his ear.

"Love you, Temp."

The use of his name feels right, in the warm intimacy of the moment.

He can't hold out long, not when Murdock's leaning on top of him stroking him hard and fast. The sound of his name... his real name... in that soft drawl.

"Yes..." he moans low and loud, gasping when his hips give one final thrust against Murdock's hand - struggling to push as hard as he can as he comes. "Jesus... fuck..."

He'll never get enough of his man in his arms, losing control in the best of all possible ways.

"That was intense."

As they both catch their breath, he reaches behind to undo the cuffs before removing the blindfold.

"There's those pretty eyes."

Breathing hard, he keeps his eyes tightly closed a long moment - practically glowing.

"Mmmmm..." he purrs, opening his eyes slowly to look straight at him. "God I fucking love you."

"I know," he says with no small amount of pride. "Love you too, sweetheart."

He takes his hands, kissing the knuckles as he gently rubs his wrists.

"... That was good, right? I mean, obviously it was for me, and you seemed pretty into it, but I feel like I should make sure."

"Great..." he murmurs, lifting his chin to press a kiss to his lips. "Better than great."

He kisses him again, nuzzling close. "You're beautiful."

"Nothin' like a blindfold to open your eyes, huh?"

He leans back against him with a contented sigh, wrapping an arm loosely around his waist.

Nuzzling against him, Face laughs - still feeling the tender ache.

"I wanted you to take charge... To know I trust you not to hurt me."

"I know, babe."

He nudges him onto his side so they can do some proper spooning.

"Not gonna let anyone hurt you anymore."

Letting his arms wrap easily around Murdock's waist, holding him close, Face peppers kisses across the back of his head.

"I could say the same."

[notthatcrazy]

They're each other's protectors, confidantes, playmates and soulmates. That's how things have always been, and how they always should be.

With any luck, how they always will be.

"I'm thinking cuddling, dinner... then maybe go for round two."

[notjustaface]

"Mmmm..." he murmurs affectionately into his partner's hair, drinking in the moment.

"Dinner means obtaining food..."

Which means moving at least far enough to locate a phone book and a cell phone to find somewhere that delivers. And maybe to put on pants.

Stupid real world.

(Stupid pants.)

"Gotta keep our strength up."

And that tone means it's probably going to be Face who gets to do the honors. Ahh, well... the curse of being him.

"Mmm... you drive a hard bargain." He squeezes even tighter.

It's the downside of being susceptible to Murdock's big puppy eyes.

"You're so good to me."

[notjustaface]

"Think we established this goes both ways." He kisses Murdock behind his ear, brushing aside stray curls.

"Love you baby."

[notthatcrazy]

He giggles at the touch of Face's lips on his ear. "Love you too."

He snuggles back against him, wrapping his arms around him tighter.

"Don't hafta move for a while though."

Squeezing harder, he forms his body tight around his lover's - content to hold him for a long moment.

"Mmmm, but aren't you afraid the wanton sex monster will come calling again?" He chuckles under his breath, kissing his ear again.

"Hmm... no, I can't say that was really a concern." He laughs, leaning back to tickle his side.

[notjustaface]

Laughing lightly, not particularly ticklish but more than willing to play along, Face growled playfully into his neck - nibbling above the collar line.

"Oh, you never know... once you get the blood pumping - my sexy guy underneath me..."

"Well... I guess we could postpone dinner in that case."

He turns for a proper kiss, slow and tender.

He's only joking a little, though he's sure his body could probably keep that promise.

"Wouldn't want to delay it too long..." Face groans against his lips, licking gently. "Can't have my boy hungry."

He parts his lips slightly, letting him in.

"You take such good care of me, babe."

It's a lighthearted comment, but there's a lot of truth behind it.

A lot of truth for both of them.

"Gotta keep your strength up..." he murmurs, kissing him again; "I'd like to keep you around a bit."

It's true that he's always been on the skinny side, and he does sometimes forget to eat unless someone reminds him. But he doesn't like Face to worry.

"Ain't plannin' on going' anywhere, sweetheart."
